Our story
SME Growth was founded in 2017 by Daniel Piper, who brings over 25 years of advertising and marketing experience across diverse industries, from global brands to local trades businesses.
What he kept seeing was the same problem: small businesses were either being underserved by big agencies that didn't care about them, or they were trying to do it all themselves and getting nowhere.
So he built SME Growth, a small, specialist agency where every client gets a named expert who actually knows their business. No juniors, no outsourcing, no runaround.
Since 2017, we've delivered the full spectrum of digital marketing for over 173 businesses across New Zealand and Australia: running ad campaigns, building websites, driving SEO performance, and creating compelling content. We continue to grow that number every month. And we've embraced AI not as a gimmick, but as a genuine way to deliver better results, faster and at lower cost.
